Multi-talented Black Eyed Peas front man, William J. Adams, aka Will.i.am visited the Oprah show to spread a little inspiration by hooking up four young men who are in high school and were in jeopardy of not being able to attend college. During a chat with Oprah's BFF, Gayle King, Will.i.am revealed to her that he had some money that he had saved from gigs as a DJ that he wanted to use to help someone in need. Gayle went to work and found four young men to present to the busy actor, singer, rapper, songwriter and producer who live in households headed by single, struggling mothers. Twins Barien and Darien, Elijah, and Jaiquann, had worked and studied hard to fulfill dreams of attending college and carving out better lives for them and their families. None expected his dream to come true under current circumstances.
Unable to choose just one from amongst the four to bless with a full college scholarship through his new foundation, iamscholarship.org , Will.i.am decided to bestow scholarships on all four, allowing them to attend the college of their choice. A full scholarship covers tuition, books and room and board. Way to give back, Will!Will.i.am can proudly declare i.am.inspiration!
